Description

Since humans settled down, real estate has been used to provide shelter and dwelling for their needs. And for almost that long, the affordable, needs-based, and perhaps even attractive as well as sustainable appropriation of real estate has been the focus of societal interest.

Architecture and civil engineering provide the physical basis for real estate. But nevertheless, it is the real estate economics perspective that helps to maintain houses' focus closely on the needs of the users and the opportunities of the necessary investors.

This perspective on real estate is a synthesis of disciplines as different as business administration, economics, statistics and law. Insights from all of these subjects come together in the real estate bachelor's program.

As a result, the real estate bachelor's program creates a qualification that enables many different and individual paths into the interesting modern job market of the real estate industry.

Professional prospects / competencies

The study program prepares students for very different professional fields. In these areas, training is no longer sufficient in the increasingly complex professional environment, but at the same time a Master's degree is not yet necessary.

These are, for example: Specialist activities in real estate valuation or development, in the qualified management of a real estate portfolio or - due to increasing regulation of the real estate market due to rent control, rent index preparation, building use ordinance, etc. - increasingly important specialist tasks in city administration, regional or state planning etc.

Internships, lab courses, practical courses

Internships are recommended. An internship can be credited to the elective module.

Disciplines involved

The compulsory module group in real estate management establishes methodological and technical knowledge for the analysis of real estate management issues (48 ECTS). However, the elective module group also allows for focus on the individual interests of the student to an extent appropriate to the bachelor's degree (18 ECTS).

Program duration / standard period of study
