Bioregio Regensburg

In June 2004, the Center for Medical Biotechnology (ZMB) was founded in the first of the now three buildings of the BioPark GmbH Regensburg, part of bavarian network of biotechnology. The university hospital has reserved lab space for this purpose and a new group was launched with focus on tissue engineering. Part of this interdisciplinary group are the experimental divisions of the Orthopedic Surgery; the Trauma Surgery, the Maxillofacial Surgery and the Othorhinolaryngology.
