Teaching

As the Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology with a focus on obstetrics, we train all students at the Medical Faculty of the University of Regensburg in the field of obstetrics and perinatal medicine, prenatal medicine and pregnancy diseases.

Our students attend the main lecture designed by the chair holder, Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Angela Köninger. They all attend the block practical course, which lasts over a week, and also have the opportunity to participate in night duties in the delivery room. The last year of medical school, the practical year, can be completed in our clinic with an elective in gynecology. In addition, we offer a variety of seminars on the ultra-modern and very practical ultrasound simulator and on the simulation manikin "Victoria". Our goal is not only to arouse the interest of medical students in our subject, but also to provide them with solid basics in order to have sufficient competence in obstetrics, regardless of the specialty they wish to pursue.

You are welcome to find further information on teaching on the page of the St. Hedwig Clinic.
