Abstract:

Virtual reality immerses users in complex and often unpredictable environments. In recent years, psychological research has leveraged this ability to manipulate and measure emotions. In this talk I will discuss recent work along these lines, highlighting the benefits and challenges of using virtual worlds to study subjective, physiological and behavioural responses to evocative experiences.
