Research

I started my doctoral studies in November 2021.  My research focuses on social-cognitive development in early childhood, and in particular on the development of prosocial behavior. I am part of the DFG-funded project "Brain, gene, environmental interactions in the ontogenesis of early prosocial behavior", focusing on mothers and their infants from pregnancy until the end of the second year of life. I use behavioral experiments, eye tracking methods and functional imaging techniques (fMRI), to investigate early helping behavior by studying maternal socialization experiences, infants’ brain development, as well as motor and cognitive development in early childhood.
