Bring swimming clothes!

As some participants come with a background in nonarchimedean geometry while others come with a background in tropical geometry, there will be introductory lectures on Monday. They are supposed to provide a common background for all participants.

The introductory lectures will be held by:

  • Sara Lamboglia: Introduction to tropical geometry
  • Enrica Mazzon: Introduction to non-archimedean geometry
  • Philipp Jell: Connection between non-archimedean and tropical geometry.

From Tuesday till Friday, some of the participants will present their own work in talks.

All participants are asked  to bring a poster for the "poster session" on Tuesday.

There will also be plenty of time for social events in the evenings and afternoons. Please remember to bring swimming clothes and a towel if you want to swim in the Danube river. We are not planning to play football or beach volleyball this year. It was too hot the previous times and we do not want any participants to get sunstroke.
