Books by mail

Students of the University of Regensburg can have up to five books from the holdings of the University Library shipped to their homes via a fee-based book delivery service using DHL. This is possible within Germany. Please note that delivery may take several days and you can only use this service if you already have a valid library card (UR card).

The service applies to books from the stacks (call number: 00/...) and the Textbook Collection (call number: 17/...).

The reading room holdings of the University Library (e.g. call number 50/...) and  holdings of the other Regensburg libraries (call number F 03/... , 999/... ) can not be delivered by mail.

Procedure:

Books from the stacks have to be ordered via the Regensburg Catalog plus. Then enter the ordered books into the form (PDF only in German).

Textbooks must be entered directly into the form (PDF only in German). Please check the availability of desired textbooks in advance in the catalog.

Please send the completed form as an email attachment (scan or photo) to info.ub@ur.de and enter "Postversand DHL 069... (your library number)" in the subject line. Please don't forget to sign the form.

You will then receive a message as to whether the desired books can be mailed and how heavy they are. After that, please buy the appropriate online shipping label via DHL. After payment you will receive a mail from DHL with the shipping label as PDF file. Please send it by email to info.ub@ur.de.
We will then send you the requested books by mail.

Returns are possible by mail or on site.
