INTERNATIONAL AND INTERDISCIPLINARY
IREBS offers, among others, a Masters Program in Real Estate (Master of Science in Real Estate). Our Masters program is truly one of a kind in Germany that gives a solid foundation for a successful entry into a career in real estate industry. Teaching language is predominantly German, however, we offer a variety of courses in English, including
- Real Estate Finance
- Real Estate Investment
- Real Estate Economics
- Empirical Methods in Real Estate
An exhaustive list of all courses in English can be obtained at the Homepage of the International Office. The Master Program is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The Real Estate Masters program is a full-time study and with a following program structure: a semester of mandatory courses followed by specializing two of three fields. There are also mandatory literature seminar, practical seminar and project seminar.
The Specialization fields are as follows:
- Real Estate Investment and Finance
- Real Estate Development and Management
- Real Estate and Regional Economics
The specialization field of „Real Estate Investment & Finance“ consists of the courses Real Estate Banking, Real Estate Valuation and Accounting, and Real Estate Finance. The second field „Real Estate Development & Management“ deals with the courses Real Estate Development, Real Estate Management and Retail Real Estate. The third field „Real Estate &
Regional Economics“ consists of the courses Real Estate Economics II, Regional Economics
and Real Estate Economics III.
The last part of the Masters program consists of research semester where the students have to take mandatory literature seminar, practical seminar, project seminar and finally the Master thesis.
- The full-time Masters program consists of 120 ECTS (4 Semesters)
- The graduates obtain the title MSc in Real Estate (MScRE)
- RICS (since 2010) and ACQUIN (since 2015) accredited
- The program encourages students to spend up to two semesters abroad. Students can earn up to 60 ETCS (Credit Points) from international partner universities
- Students have the opportunity to obtain a Double Degree from IRE|BS and a partner university (i.e. University of Reading, Hong Kong University)
INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE
There is a possibility of a semester (year) abroad in the second and/or third semester. The courses taken at the partner universities can be used as replacements for the equivalent
courses at our Masters program. Our program has cooperations with the University of
Reading, Tongji University and Hong Kong University, among others, where the Master
students can have chance to obtain a second Masters degree.
