The academic title “Doktor der Wirtschaftswissenschaften” (Dr. rer. pol.) can be awarded at the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Management Information Systems. The doctorate is regarded as proof of the ability to work in an in-depth scientific manner, and opens the doors for an academic or scientific career, and for a career in the private sector.
If you are interested in doing a doctorate at our faculty, you should first contact a professor close to the research field in which you wish to do your doctorate, and discuss your doctoral project and the next steps with him or her.
The prerequisite for doing a doctorate at the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Management Information Systems is a minimum grade of “good” (grading according to the German education system) for a fully completed degree in one of the business sciences or equivalent degree that qualifies you to do a doctorate.
