Teaching Objectives
In recent years, the demand of banks, insurance companies and consulting firms for employees with deeper knowledge of quantitative finance has been steadily increasing. This development especially concerns areas such as financial innovations as well as risk and asset management. The specialization “Quantitative Finance”, which is closely linked to the recommended specialization “Corporate Finance”, particularly focuses on the computation of both risks and prices of financial instruments. The main teaching goal is to develop students’ ability to serve as facilitator between management and strongly quantitative oriented departments.
