Funding opportunities for researchers at risk and for HEIs

BAYHOST - Workshop, October 24-25, 2024, in Budapest

BAYHOST, the Research Center German in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (FZ DiMOS), the Chair of Slavic Philology & Linguistics at the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Regensburg and Andrássy University Budapest (AUB) organized a workshop on cooperation with Ukraine in the humanities in a hybrid format in Budapest from 24-25 October.

The event brought together over 60 representatives of institutions from Ukraine, Hungary, Germany and other countries in the region.

The conference focused on the continuation and expansion of academic partnerships in these difficult times, especially for Ukrainian institutions facing the effects of the Russian war of aggression. Discussions on important topics such as multilingualism, digital humanities and digital education paved the way for new ways of cooperation.

A short overview on the conference can be found here

We sincerely thank all the representatives from Ukraine, Hungary, Germany and beyond, as well as our partners, including the DAAD lecturers who were instrumental in making this event a success
