Manifestations of cultural differences in World Englishes (Schneider)

It is investigated how characteristics of and differences between cultures find linguistic manifestations in varieties of English, especially as represented in electronic corpora. Traces are identified on the levels of lexis (cultural terms and objects), "dimensions" of culture as posited in socio-psychological research, and syntactic structure.
